August 11, 2008 - The date for the special session of the ICPAT Steering Committee has been set for September 16, 2008 in Addis Ababa. The meeting is due to discuss a proposal from the ICPAT Office on the implmentation of recommendations made in the Mid Term Review of ICPAT. The Mid Term Review had called for a number of adjustments and changes in the structure and activities of ICPAT, and the last meeting of the Steering Committee held on June 23 and 24, 2008 in Addis Ababa had requested ICPAT staff to draw up a proposal on those recommendations that could be implemented. The special session will also hear a report from auditors on the administrative and financial findings and recommendations of the Mid Term Review.
