September 2, 2008 - The supervision of field research along the Sudan-Uganda border has commenced this week. Following the bilateral meeting held in Khartoum in June 2008, it was agreed that ICPAT carry out field research long the 460 km border between the two countries to develop a proposal on better border management to the two governments. Researchers have been commissioned in Sudan and Uganda and ICPAT Senior Researcher - Border Management, Richard Barno is on mission to observe the ongoing research. The results are expected to be presented to a bilateral meeting in Uganda later this year.
